Our Solar Heater Controller is designed to automatically regulate the temperature of your swimming pool by controlling the flow of water through your solar panels.
On a hot day, the temperature of the water in the solar panel is warmer than the water in the swimming pool. The Controller unit will close the valve, which will cause the water to circulate through the solar panels. This will increase the pool water temperature up to the temperature that you set on the Controller.
On a cold or over cast day, the temperature of the water in the solar panel will be colder than the water in the swimming pool. The Controller unit will open the valve and the water will bypass the solar panel back in to the swimming pool, thus eliminating any loss of heat.
Once the unit is installed and your ideal temperature set, the Controller unit will automatically open and close the valve as illustrated in the diagram. This will help keep your pool at a constant temperature all year round.
WHY DO WE NEED A SOLAR HEATER TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER?
At night or during periods of low heat when the weather is cloudy or cold, your Solar Heater panel will cool down below the temperature of your pool. When the pool water flows through your Solar Heater. The heater cools your pool down. So, you will discover that your pool is cooler than you expected. The seasons of the year when the Solar Heater is of greatest need for pool heating are Autumn, Winter and Spring, this is obviously the most notable period for cloud cover and cold wind and weather. The Solar Heater Temperature Controller was designed specifically to eliminate this problem!
WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS?
The Solar Heater Temperature Controller electronically monitors your Pool and Solar Heater temperatures continuously . Should the Solar Heater temperature become lower than the pool, the electronics immediately diverts the water flow from the heater. The heat loss from your pool is efficiently and effectively eliminated!
HOW DOES THE SOLAR HEATER TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER WORK?
The Solar Heater Temperature Controller reacts to two sensors, one installed in your Pool, the other in the Solar Heater. The electronic control unit is installed close to a normal electricity power supply and connected up to the sensors. If your Solar Heater has its own electric pump, the electronic Solar Heater Controller is connected to the motor on the pump. If your Solar Heater system uses the filter pump to circulate your pool water through the solar panels, a valve will be installed in the heater system to control the water flow. The electronic Solar Heater Controller is then connected to the valve. The electronics in the Controller continuously compare the pool and panel temperatures and switch the water flow on or off as the temperature changes. You switch on the power and leave your Solarium Heater Controller to do all the work!
